Ahinama Dance Company

About us

One of Athens' most experienced Afro-Cuban salsa schools

Ahinama means "this is it" - and since 2017 we've filled our Galatsi studios with exactly that feeling. From the tribes of Africa and the streets of Cuba to the scene of New York, we teach salsa in its original form and its continuous evolution - led by teachers who have taught Afro-Cuban salsa since 2008, with dozens of shows, our own choreographies, and a floor where every generation of dancers finds its rhythm.

Two studios, classes every day, groups for every level and age. No partner needed - just come feel it. First class always free.

George Tsi - Founder & Teacher - Cuban Salsa, Afro, Rumba

Founder & Teacher - Cuban Salsa, Afro, Rumba

George Tsi

George is the soul of Ahinama. He has been teaching Cuban salsa, Afro and Rumba since 2008, and in 2017 he founded the school in Galatsi with one vision: to bring the authentic Afro-Cuban spirit to Athens.

With more than 15 years of teaching and dozens of festival appearances and dance shows featuring original choreographies, George believes salsa is not just steps - it is music, history and community.

In his classes you will work on technique, musicality and improvisation, with a strong focus on the roots of the dance: rumba, son and the Afro-Cuban traditions.
